Guided Lake Hydra Experience
Per diver
Explore Lake Hydra with a Neptune’s Vanguard dive professional in a small guided group of up to four certified divers.
This is an open group experience. Other certified divers may be added to the same scheduled dive until the four diver maximum is reached.
Private Guided Experience
Per diver
Reserve a Neptune’s Vanguard dive professional exclusively for you and your group.
Your private experience is not combined with unrelated divers, allowing for more personalized dive planning, pacing, and attention based on your group’s experience and comfort level.

Diving is better with someone you know. Discounts are available when booking together with another certified diver.

Before You Dive
Certification Requirements
- Open Water certification minimum required
- Physical or digital certification card accepted
- Your certification level will help determine the planned dive profile
- Dive depth and route are based on training, experience, conditions, and dive planning
Important To Know
- This is a recreational guided dive experience
- No certifications are issued
- This is not an open water certification course
- This is not an advanced certification course
- Divers are responsible for maintaining appropriate training and skills for the planned dive
What Should You Bring?
Proper preparation helps you stay comfortable and enjoy your Lake Hydra experience. Divers must arrive with complete and properly functioning scuba equipment appropriate for the planned dive.
- BCD
- Regulator with primary second stage and alternate air source
- Low pressure inflator hose compatible with your BCD
- Submersible Pressure Gauge (SPG) or functioning air integrated pressure monitoring system
- Mask and fins
- Appropriate exposure protection
- Dive computer recommended
- Physical or digital certification card
- Any personal dive accessories you prefer to use
Cold Water Preparation
Lake Hydra is a cold-water diving environment. Proper exposure protection helps keep you comfortable throughout your dives.
- 7 mm exposure protection recommended
- Boots recommended
- Gloves recommended
- Hood recommended
A 5 mm hood, gloves, and boots may be suitable depending on personal comfort and conditions.
Need Rental Gear?
Neptune’s Vanguard does not currently provide rental scuba equipment. Divers who need rental gear should arrange equipment in advance through a local dive shop and confirm availability before their scheduled dive.

Additional guided dives are available for $30 per additional dive.
Additional dives are for the Neptune’s Vanguard dive professional service. Any additional gas fills or personal equipment requirements are separate.

We are guests in the underwater world. Neptune’s Vanguard believes in responsible diving and protecting the environments we explore.
- Respect aquatic wildlife
- Maintain proper buoyancy

- Leave the environment as you found it
Air Fills
Air fills are available onsite through an independent air fill provider.
Standard air fills are approximately $12 per fill.
Nitrox and specialty gas pricing may vary.
Additional Gas Requirements
Divers are responsible for ensuring they arrive prepared with the appropriate equipment and gas requirements for their planned dive.
Any additional gas fills or personal equipment needs are separate from the Neptune’s Vanguard guided dive experience.

Please arrive prepared with enough time to unload equipment and complete your setup before entering the water.
Lake Hydra Admission Information
Separate Entrance Ticket Required
Your Neptune’s Vanguard guided dive reservation and Lake Hydra entrance ticket are separate.
After your Neptune’s Vanguard booking is confirmed, you will receive the required Lake Hydra booking code.
Use this code to purchase your Lake Hydra entrance ticket online.
- Purchase your ticket online at least 24 hours in advance.
- Ticket sales close at midnight the night before the ticket date.
- There are no ticket sales at the gate.
